Far from the crowds at other resorts, 12 miles (19km) up Big Cottonwood Canyon, is a whole different world; a world where the sense of calm and peacefulness can only be described as "solitude." It's a place of unrivaled beauty, a place where priorities slip back into place and you're free to reconnect with nature, with your family, friends, and with yourself.

Solitude averages 500" of "The Greatest Snow on Earth", which means conditions are always at their prime: no matter if it is powder or groomers you are after. Under this immense white blanket, you'll discover over 1,200 acres of wide-open bowls, gladed tree runs, steep chutes and perfectly groomed gentle cruising slopes that are never crowded and always ready to thrill skiers and boarders of all ages and skill levels. The Snowsports Academy, with it's fun atmosphere and small group sizes help either children or adults improve their technique and develop more confidence on the snow.

Solitude's charming European-style pedestrian village is home to a wide range of accommodations, featuring luxurious 1-3 bedroom condos in unique, tasteful settings and the Bavarian style first-class hotel at the Inn at Solitude. Unwind after a day on the slopes in the large living areas while hot chocolate warms up in the gourmet kitchen. There is a condo size and configuration perfect for you and your family. The Inn is designed to pamper and relax, with amenities such as an on-site spa, ski in/out convenience and an attentive staff.

Enjoy family and fine dining, at Creekside Restaurant or St. Bernard's award winning country French cuisine. Adventurous diners can don snowshoes or cross-country skis for a ¾ mile trek to the Yurt where a chef will prepare a 5 course meal in front of your eyes. Back in the Village, the Stone Haus Pizzeria & Creamery offers hot meal options all day, while the Thirsty Squirrel serves up any adult beverage of your choosing.

In the heart of the village, our lodging guests will find Club Solitude, featuring large-screen movies in the media room, a game room, and an outdoor heated pool and hot tubs. Other activities include ice skating, Nordic skiing, and family-centered events such as story-telling and puppet shows.
